WAS THE BP OIL SPILL A PLANNED OPERATION?

Over the past couple of months, I have been seriously contemplating what has come to be known as one of the greatest man-made disasters in American if not human history - the British Petroleum oil spill. I became very suspicious at first because of the location of the disaster which was not far from the beautiful city of New Orleans. I have always been convinced that the Katrina catastrophe was not merely an "act of God" but rather an "act of man". After hearing testimonies of people from New Orleans repeatedly state that they heard explosions right before the levees broke, I began doing my research into the matter. I watched the militarized takeover of the city that I at one time considered to be my home. I heard stories on the various media programs of individuals being shot and even killed for taking steps to survive the disaster. I also heard stories of the plan to change the demographics of the region (less Black and less poor). Knowing the nature of man and having discovered years ago just how this world is run and by whom, these stories are very much believable to me.

Fast forward to the current crisis in the Gulf of Mexico. First of all, according to my research, it did not have to happen. Environmental attorney Mike Papantonio stated on MSNBC's The Ed Show that BP did a fast-track with the U. S. government and avoided the inclusion of an extremely important feature in oil drilling, the acoustic switch. He and others have claimed that it is a fail-safe system designed to automatically shut off oil leaks -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77pBcf0o444. According to Paul Joseph Watson, editor and writer of the internet news web page Prison Planet, BP's own investigative report on the oil spill on page 37 states that "... the Hydraulic Control System on equipment designed to automatically seal the well in an emergency was modified without BP's knowledge sometime before the explosion." Watson, drawing from a report in the May 27 New York Times issue goes on to say "BP chose to use a salt-water solution to seal the cement around the casing pipe which was known to be a far riskier option than that of the stronger heavy drilling fluid." Watson infers conspiracy by listing several other suspicious factors as follows: Local and state authorities have been prevented by BP and the U.S. Coast Guard from helping with the cleanup and preventing the oil contamination of their shores; Goldman Sachs, now chaired by Peter Sutherland, a former chairman of British Petroleum, got rid of 44% of its shares in BP during the first quarter of this year; Tony Hayward, the current CEO of BP sold 1.4 million pounds of his shares in BP weeks before the oil disaster - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utpZmU4V0ps.

Writer and ordained Baptist minister Lindsey Williams claimed to internet talk show host Alex Jones that his inside BP connections informed him that the spill is much greater than is reported. The main reason for the gross understatement is to not call attention to the amount of oil reserves in the Gulf which could cause the American people to demand that we sever ties with foreign oil, thus driving the cost of gasoline down. Williams believes one of the agendas of BP is to allow the oil disaster to force the Obama administration to cease domestic oil drilling, thus maintaining status quo in the oil industry as well as engage the CARBON TAX (CONSUMPTION TAX) that the ruling elite have been trying to implement.

The most horrific part of this disaster, however, is the devastating affect that it is having on nature, wildlife, and above all, HUMAN LIFE. Lindsey Williams reports that the main chemicals causing detrimental effects on humans are HYDROGEN SULFIDE, BENZENE, and METHYLENE CHLORIDE. Williams asserts that astronomical proportions of these chemicals are now being swept into the atmosphere. Using the EPA reports, Williams states that though the "safe" levels of hydrogen sulfide, benzene, and methylene chloride are 5-10 parts per billion, 0-4 parts per billion, and 61 parts per billion respectively, the actual amounts now being emitted into the air are 1200 parts per billion, 3,000 parts per billion, and 3,000 to 3,400 parts per billion respectively!!! The ATSDR (Agency for Toxic Substances & Disease Registry) lists HYDROGEN SULFIDE as a FLAMMABLE, colorless gas that can cause DEATH with just a few breaths of air containing high levels of it. On the EPA website, the SHORT-TERM EFFECTS of BENZENE include "drowsiness, dizziness, headaches, as well as eye, skin, and respiratory tract irritation, and, at high levels, unconsciousness." The LONG-TERM EFFECTS are various blood disorders, adverse reproductive effects for women, and leukemia. The SHORT-TERM EFFECTS of METHYLENE CHLORIDE are "decreased visual, auditory, and motor functions, but these effects are reversible once exposure ceases." However, in this case it is IF exposure ceases. The EPA lists the long-term effects of methylene chloride as possible damage to the central nervous system, as well as possible liver and lung cancer.

After the oil disaster, BP recruited local fishermen to help in the cleanup. However, they were not allowed to wear respirators, according to Miss Kerry Kennedy, President RFK Center. Kennedy talked to fishermen in the three states that she and eleven others visited. These fisherman were in dire need of income due to the loss of their livelihood because of the spill. The fisherman told her that BP would not allow them to wear the respirators because "they were unneccesary and would cause hysteria ..." When Kennedy and her colleagues visited the site, they wore respirators and still experienced severe adverse effects - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKWTPibtskA. Besides the poisons from the oil itself, the despersants being sprayed by aircraft are also highly toxic. Wilma Subra, president of the Subra Company, which provides technical assistance to community groups on environmental issues and to the Louisiana Environmental Action Network, echoes Kennedy's perspectives. Subra revealed in an interview with Amy Goodman on the Wednesday 7/7/10 broadcast of Democracy Now, that the fisherman stated that BP told them that if they spoke out about there respiratory and other problems that resulted from the lack of respirators, they would be fired. When the workers' wives complained, the workers were told that if their wives continued to complain they would be fired. I recall hearing reports of workers being hospitalized because of severe headaches, nausea, and respiratory problems.

In addition to the aforementioned problems, there has been a serious attempt at a media "blackout" concerning the Gulf disaster. It seems that it is an attempt to keep the public ignorant of the magnitude of the spill. Democracy Now has recently reported that up to 130,000,000 gallons of oil has spilled into the Gulf of Mexico. DN reports that the media were given a mandate by the Coast Guard to stay beyond 65 feet of the response vessels or booms on the water or beaches or face up to a $40,000 fine and a possible felony charge of one to five years in prison. Even CNN's Anderson Cooper was greatly distured by this policy. A side-bar to all of this is WACKENHUT, the security company on site helping to enforce the media regulations, among other things. Though an American company in its inception, Wackenhut has since become British owned. According to Wikipedia, its new name will be G4S Secure Solutions. After delving into the U. S. PRIVATE PRISON MARKET in 1984, Wackenhut became the nation's second largest operator of FOR PROFIT PRISON.

So let us sit back and take a serious and intelligent look at all of this. Here you have an extremely volatile man-made disaster with indications of either intentional negligence or sabotage involved. At the helm is a foreign-owned corporation with strong ties to Goldman Sachs, the MAJOR PLAYER in the still reverberating WORLD ECONOMIC CRISIS. You have the restraints on self-determination for survival of the victims who are subject to death by either a gas-induced explosion, or severe atmospheric contamination, and at the very least loss of economic livelihood, and finally, a security company that is a MAJOR PLAYER in the PRIVATE PRISON INDUSTRY. Pushing people against the wall like this was used during the Katrina disaster and the Haitian earthquake without the masses getting completely out of control. However, with this disaster affecting several states and millions of people with the reality of DEATH through CHEMICAL EXPLOSION and/or CHEMICAL POISONING, the possibily of MASS CHAOS lumes. And the way most governments deal with mass chaos is by implementing MARTIAL LAW and MASS DETENTION. Considering the MARTIAL LAW scenario, WACKENHUT really disturbs me. See, no one seriously goes into business unless they intend on GROWING the business. In this case, the PRODUCT is PEOPLE. The more people are channeled into the prisons, the greater the profit ... COMMON SENSE.

It is obvious to me that we are not being told by mainstream media what is really going on in the Gulf. This leaves us with the responsibilty to be vigilant and not be distracted by the World Cup or LeBron James, etc. and take the necessary steps that our conscience dictates to make sure that our nation is secure from the advancement of external and internal conspiratorial agendas. If you would like to help to ensure the proper resolution of the problem in the Gulf, I suggest you take a few minutes (literally) out of your day and SIGN THE PETITION to END THE GULF OIL SPILL NOW and follow through with the CLEANUP at the following websites:
