BPA & CANCER: BEWARE OF PLASTIC CONTAINERS!

BPA, also known as Bisphenol A, an organic compound considered for years by many researchers to be highly toxic, is still being used to make plastic water and beverage containers and line our canned foods. According to Dr. Fred Von Saal, BPA is synthetic estrogen and can cause BRAIN DAMAGE, BREAST CANCER and PROSTATE CANCER. The website HEALTHIER-HARVEST.COM, states that BPA residue is contained in single-serving water bottles up to 5-gallon water jugs. The chemical has a tendency to escape from the plastic bottles and seep into the water. You will know if your bottle contains BPA if it is marked 7 at the bottom of it. Many now are attempting to avoid the dangers of plastic bottles by switching to non-toxic stainless steel containers. Though I still refill my plastic water jugs (#2 labeled at the bottom), I now pour the water from the jug into my new stainless steel container that I received as a gift from one of my gorgeous East Indian friends. The container is a product of KLEAN KANTEEN. You may watch and listen to a special five-minute report on BPA by FOX NEWS featuring Dr. Saal at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3_cYZKksvI.

BEST JUICE I HAVE EVER HAD!

I recently strolled through a store out here known as Food For Less looking for juice. Now being that I'm very careful as to what I put into my body, I cannot have just any juice. My juice has to have a STRONG NUTRITIOUS FACTOR. This means that it has to include REAL FRUIT JUICES and NO WHITE SUGAR. As I searched the shelves, I ran across a product that caught my eye. It was made by MINUTE MAID (believe it or not). The words HELP NOURISH YOUR BRAIN stuck out in bold, black letters against a yellow background. Just above those letters was posted OMEGA-3/DHA in not so bold letters. So I did my regular routine and searched through the ingredients. The INGREDIENTS included POMEGRANATE, BLUEBERRY, APPLE, GRAPE, and RASPBERRY juices from concentrate. Even when I saw that it was PASTEURIZED, I was still impressed. To further reinforce my disposition concerning this product, I noticed the price was $3+ dollars for 59 fl. oz.. Then when I took a sip, ... aaaaahhhhh, I was in ANTI-OXIDANT HEAVEN! My disposition was even further confirmed when I was out and about and a woman pulled up to park beside my car and noticed the juice in my passenger seat. She became all excited and said "Oh, that's the best juice! It makes you feel good all over!" So, I must say, outside of raw juices, this has got to be my favorite one.
